Indian dogs and humans have one thing in common. What is that?
It is their power of reproduction! Every time I go to India, there is equal number of increase in the number of dogs on the streets as the number of people on the road.
Stray dogs are everywhere. At every pavement, under every bridge, in every apartment complex, at train stations and bus stations, and outside every tea stall looking for next piece of biscuit.

There are different types of stray dogs:
- sleeping dogs (they like to sleep all the time. People would be busy running around all day, but they are peacefully asleep)
- travelers (they like to wander around)
- smellers (they smell everything … even water)
- the over talker (they bark a lot, for no reason majority of the time)
- the glutinous dog (they eat everything that they see)

What do dogs do in the night? Chances are that they are furiously chasing someone riding their bike and giving them a nice run for their life.
What do they do in the morning? Chances are that they are enjoying a jog with fellow dogs and someone running in joggers park or at a beach
Adults change paths because they are scared of them, and kids have the best time of their life scaring them...
They have some sort of age old khunnas (anger) with pet dogs. The moment see a pampered pomerian or well maintained labrador, their blood starts to boil. All of them forget their internal fights and unite to scare the pet dog...
You want to be nice and feed them once? It just might be a mistake…. You give them food, and they will follow you wherever you go ...
A dog is a best watchman for a building and a best friend for kids living in that building.
They could also be a mascot for marches :-)http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Stray-dog-becomes-mascot-of-farmers-march/articleshow/7731427.cms
